I've read about the Self-Efficacy theory many times before, in research, in textbooks, and from faculty, but this book explains everything in the author's voice and with other researcher's work. It is impacting reading, things we can relate to in our everyday life and an awesome tool for conducting research. Money well spent. Get your brain ready to theorize and be amazed.

great overview

This book is very clearly written. Bandura does a great job of addressing self-efficacy theory in different societal contexts (education, family, health). I highly recommend it both as an academic resource and as a personal read for anyone is interested in thinking about their perceived level of control shapes their life outcomes.

Efficacy issues infiltrate every domain in every persons life. This book is Banduras greatest work in his quest to pioneer the concept he originated. Whether for personal interest or academic research all individuals in the domain of efficacy must become familiar with Banduras work--especially that contained within this work.
