About the Author

Patrick Frank has taught in many higher education environments, from rural community colleges to private research universities. His recent scholarly work has focused on Latin American graphic arts. He is author of Posada’s Broadsheets: Mexican Popular Imagery 1890–1910 and Los Artistas del Pueblo: Prints and Workers’ Culture in Buenos Aires (University of New Mexico Press). He has curated five exhibitions of Latin American prints. He has also edited a volume of artists’ writings, Readings in Latin American Modern Art (Yale University Press). He served as collaborating author for the modern section of Marilyn Stokstad’s Art History (third edition). He earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and is currently teaching the History of Modern Latin American Art at Pitzer College in Claremont, Calif. He lives in the seaside community of Venice.

misinformation in title

Do not fall for the misinformation in the text. It does not come with a my labs access code to use as that will cost an additional $65. You are better off buying the book new the selling it back later.

About the Author

Francis Gouillart is President and Co‐Founder of the Experience Co‐Creation Partnership (ECCP), a consulting firm dedicated to the introduction of innovation in the supplier-customer relationship (“co-creation”). He works with strategic account managers and procurement managers all over the world, helping them develop relationships that escape the commodity syndrome through the use of data platforms and analytics, with a particular focus on machine-to-machine dialog and Internet of Things technologies and the development of corporate ecosystems. He is author of the seminal Harvard Business Review article entitled Spend a Day in the Life of Your Customers (with Frederick D. Sturdivant, 1994), and also co-wrote (with James Kelly) the bestselling book Transforming the Organization (McGraw Hill, 1995). With Venkat Ramaswamy, Gouillart also-co-authored the book The Power of Co-Creation (2010). Recent articles also include Community-Powered Problem Solving for Harvard Business Review (with Doug Billings, 2013) and Co-Creation in Government for the Stanford Social Innovation Review (with Tina Halley, 2015). In his spare time, he manages an angel investment fund called Co-Creation Ventures and runs a shared kitchen that houses 20 food trucks and 30 food entrepreneurs in Malden, MA. Gouillart lives in Concord, Massachusetts.

Bernard Quancard is the President and CEO of the Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA), a unique global community of practice solely focused on the art and science of managing customer /supplier strategic relationships. Quancard previously served as Schneider Electric’s Senior Vice President in charge of managing the group’s global strategic accounts organization, growing the organization from $180 million to $1+ billion in consolidated sales in a four-year period. Quancard is a French native and a US citizen residing in Chicago, Illinois. He holds a degree from the University of Paris in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

This could have been much, much shorter

This has some great stuff in it. Overall it was enjoyable content, however, the monotony of saying the same thing in different words really got played out. It made staying with book much more difficult. Aside from the clever analogies and non stop alliteration and beating the same points over and over again to death, it was helpful. Undoubtedly, there are some nice gems in the rough if you have the patience to keep rereading the same recycled words. Wit was definitely emphasised by the author, a turn off for me.

Since meeting Bruce in college in 1974, I have followed his wise and compassionate teachings. This book, his best so far, relates the clearest and most compelling version of his message. As a student of many wisdom traditions, A Course In Miracles, the Kybalion, quantum theory, sacred geometry and esoteric religion, Bruce has much to offer as a synthesis of these teachings. This book is easy to understand, and well written. A must read!!

Recommend for course students

I am always trying to find ways to make the Course in Miracles more understandable to me and relevant. This was different and very helpful. Don't be afraid that this is one of those very complicated meta physics writings. A few parts were up there and I had to reread but most was in terms anyone can understand.

Beautiful and helpful

Good paper and color, and a good mix of text and beautiful illustrations. This book is a pleasure to read whether you have a piano/keyboard or not.

It has actually helped me learn the basics of keyboard playing and music reading. It's concise and informative, not a lot of fluff. It tells you when you need more practice to acquire specific skills, and it suggests that you take it slow and move forward only after you master those skills. At the end, you'll find a 24-page colored chord dictionary. Very nice and helpful.

Bad Start

Total Piano Tutor Bad start, bad music store, however, the sale person did a good deed. he point out an error at the very first peace of music in the book. He wasn't trying to be nice, he just wanted find errors in my choice of a lesson book. I stopped taking lesson there, I felt the teacher wasn't doing what I expected Other experiences with this music store wasn't so good. The sale pointed out the error because of he wanted find something bad with my choice of material. I had open the book to page 38 he looked at it and found a error and also found a error in the book on page 38. The book has 192 pages. Will there be more errors??? The piece "Jesu, Joy of Man's desiring" The last stanza of this piece has two errors The author wrights F key for D key and instructs student to use keys 3-4-3 to play for C-B-C. The sale's person pointed out that keys 3-4-3 should be keys 3-2-3. I afraid to go on with this tutorial, there may be more errors I may not find. (errata is needed). I felt it was right to give this book one star.

Though first novelist Gabaldon uses time travel primarily to allow a modern heroine, this is basically a richly textured historical novel with an unusual and compelling love story. The author, an assistant professor of research in environmental studies, was encouraged to publish by fellow users of CompuServe and has two more books contracted. I must be missing something?

Judging by the reviews, I was thinking this is best book that ever happened to the world. So many ladies I know are addicted to this series. My mom loves the series and has encouraged me to read it for ages so I finally bout the book for my Kindle.

There were parts of this book that were really engaging and interesting. However, I feel like I was always waiting for something that never happened. I kept reading thinking that something big and momentous was going to happen but I was always disappointed. I think that this book could have been much shorter first off. An event happens in the book and the next chapter is basically the characters reiterating what happened to other characters in the book. I don't need to read about one event 4 times in a row.

Claire's time travel seemed almost incidental to the plot line. This book could very well just take place in Scotland in the same year with a lost English lady of the same time. Nothing exciting happens with the time travel aspect of the story. Her husband in the beginning (Frank) is a dud of a character and I didn't miss him at all. Unfortunately I didn't love Jamie either so if I was Claire, I don't know which crappy reality I would choose.

There are some really bizarre sex scenes in this book. Some are hazily vague and you are left wondering what they are actually doing, others are kind of skeevy or just plain lame, and others are abusive. At no point did I find any of these scenes romantic or exciting and could have done without them. Something about the way Gabaldon describes these scenes just left me with a gross feeling. I can't explain it and I am not a prude at all. I read fairly explicit romances all the time and never had a problem with sex scenes in general. Also, the sheer number of them in this book was irritating. Enough is enough already!

I had a lot of questions about characters that were never fully developed and questions about the intentions of said characters that were never answered. Now, I will admit that my eyes were glazing over in several spots and I started skipping some pages so maybe I missed something. This was a strange read for me because I was engaged by the characters overall and compelled to read forward, but most of the time I was bored out of my mind hoping for more historical information or more insight into the characters themselves. I am actually boggled by the length of this book! The rambling reiteration of every event was almost shocking.

I finished this book (finally) and I feel so relieved that it is over! I will not be reading the next installments. So ladies, I will kindly agree to disagree with you about the greatness of this book. I get the feeling from looking at Amazon reviews and reviews on Goodreads that readers either really love or really hate this series of books. I was hoping to love it, but I am disappointed. I thought this was a book about time travel with some supernatural/sci fi plot woven together with history. What I found was just a historical romance without many interesting historical facts woven in. Don't get me wrong, I love historical romances, but there are far better out there!

I typically like popular books. I'm shocked by the popularity. A terrible book where literally every man is a rapist, even the good guy. The good guy smacks the female protagonist around a bit too. Why would women like this? I just don't get it.

I've read all the books in this Outlander series,.It's a good read and interesting to follow the lives of Jamie and Claire, however it's getting a little boring. Most were filled with action, but 5 and 6 have been a little disappointing. The writing style however reads like flowing water. I just think she's having trouble filling the story line.

Actually, I do not read the new version yet. However, the previous one is a new book for everyone who would like to study about Least Squares Adjustemnt. Hopefully, I can get the new edition soon. I will be right back after obtaining a new one.

I have tried some Pascal procedures in this book and found some errors with them. Please look into Table 26.3, 26.5 & 26.7. No error is found with Table 26.4.
Hope the authors can debug all procedures and e-mail me the bug-free procedure.
